Latin America and the Caribbean are witness to the largest flow of refugees and migrants in the region’s history. The COVID-19 pandemic has deepened pre-existing inequalities and increased the vulnerability of refugees and migrants in society. The effects on the living conditions, security, dignity and health of refugees and migrants from Venezuela and their host communities have been dramatic.

Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela in the Latin America and the Caribbean as of October 2021
Report on progress made by R4V partners from January to June implementing the RMRP 2021, including people reached per sector and national and sub-regional platform, as well as areas of critical under-funding affecting the response for refugees and migrants from Venezuela.
The Mapping to create an Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) baseline was conducted to take stock and map the current implementation conditions of AAP across the R4V regional response. The exercise aimed to provide a clearer picture of the existing gaps, challenges, and capacities that need addressing to strengthen AAP and identify opportunities for the increased implementation of collective participatory approaches that put affected populations at the centre of the response.
