This regional campaign is the result of the joint effort of organizations and agency partners of the R4V Platform, which work with the objective of tackling the protection, assistance and integration needs of refugees and migrants of Venezuela in the region through the complementing and strengthening of host governments’ responses.
Esta campaña regional es el resultado del trabajo conjunto de las organizaciones y agencias participantes de la Plataforma R4V, que trabajan con el objetivo de abordar las necesidades de protección, asistencia e integración de las personas refugiadas y migrantes de Venezuela en la región, mediante el complemento y fortalecimiento de las respuestas de los gobiernos receptores.

De los 5,1 millones de personas refugiadas y migrantes de Venezuela desplazadas a nivel mundial, alrededor de 4,3 millones están en América Latina y el Caribe3 y la mayoría no tiene perspectivas de un retorno sostenible a corto y mediano plazo. Solo Colombia alberga a más de 1.8 millones de personas refugiadas y migrantes de Venezuela,incluidos más de 1 millón de personas con un estatus migratorio no regular, que no cuentan con la documentación adecuada para facilitar el acceso a los derechos y servicios básicos tales como servicios de salud, WASH, nutrición y otras áreas de intervención que buscan salvar vidas.
El PiN es un subconjunto de las personas afectadas y se refiere a las personas cuya seguridad física, derechos básicos, dignidad, condiciones de vida o medios de subsistencia se ven amenazados o han sido perturbados y cuyo acceso actual a los servicios básicos, la seguridad, la protección social y los bienes no es suficiente para garantizar y restablecer el nivel de las condiciones de vida pertinentes a su ubicación y medios sin asistencia adicional. El concepto se refiere a las personas con necesidades extremas: necesidad de ayuda humanitaria, de refugio, de ayuda al desarrollo, de protección
