América Latina y el Caribe es testigo del mayor flujo de personas refugiadas y migrantes en la historia de la región. Más de seis millones de personas refugiadas y migrantes han salido de Venezuela, con más de cinco millones acogidas por países la región. La pandemia de COVID-19 ha profundizado las desigualdades preexistentes y aumentado la vulnerabilidad de las personas refugiadas y migrantes en la sociedad. Los efectos en las condiciones de vida, seguridad, dignidad y salud de las personas refugiadas y migrantes de Venezuela y sus comunidades de acogida han sido dramáticos.

One Pager - Study on the protection situation of Venezuelan refugees and migrants in the Caribbean
This study was developed to identify current protection needs of Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Aruba, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago and present recommendations for strengthened protection responses. The study is presented in line with the Inter-Agency Coordination Platform for Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela (R4V) commitment to protection as a central responsibility of its humanitarian response. It has been developed as part of the efforts of the Regional Protection Sector and the Sub-Regional Platform for the Caribbean.

R4V Situation Report - Caribbean - December 2021
Situation update and report of activities of R4V partners. The 2022 Regional Refugee and Migrant Response Plan (RMRP) appeal was launched on 9 December via a virtual event, and 10 December marked the final day of the 16 Days of Activism to end violence against women. Salary reductions impacted communities in Aruba; Venezuelans in Curaçao sought repatriation; employers could face fines for hiring undocumented workers in the Dominican Republic; food insecurity and malnutrition continued to impact Guyana; Trinidad and Tobago minister reaffirmed immigration policies.

Applying the “Triple Nexus”; between Humanitarian, Development, and Peace in the Context of Migration Flows from Venezuela - We World (January 2022)
This study aims to address the challenges arising from applying the Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus in the context of migration flows from Venezuela. This research aims find out how the different kind of organizations, international and local, are framing their work and how they are addressing their different aspects. To this end, the analysis is based in three strands: the temporal scope, the coordination mechanisms and the articulation of the actions that make up the triple nexus: humanitarian action, development, and peacebuilding. Interviews and the survey were conducted during the months of September and October 2021.

La aplicación del enfoque de “triple nexo” entre la acción humanitaria, el desarrollo y la paz en el contexto de los flujos migratorios de Venezuela - We World (Enero 2022)
Este estudio aborda el reto de la aplicación del enfoque de triple nexo entre la acción humanitaria, el desarrollo y la paz en el contexto de los flujos migratorios venezolanos. La investigación pretende conocer cómo las distintas organizaciones, internacionales y locales plantean su trabajo y cómo lo están abordando en sus distintas vertientes. Para ello, se han centrado en tres ejes de análisis: la visión temporal, los mecanismos de coordinación y la articulación de las acciones que componen el triple nexo: acción humanitaria, desarrollo y construcción de la paz. La realización de entrevistas y la encuesta se efectuó durante los meses de septiembre y octubre de 2021.
