As of October 2019, more than 4.5 million refugees and migrants from Venezuela are outside their country of origin, with 3.7 million in the region alone. As per current trends, it is estimated that the number of refugees and migrants from Venezuela included in government official figures in countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, will reach up to 5.5 million by the end of 2020. In this context, this RMRP 2020 is the result of field-driven planning, bringing together 137 appealing organizations, in consultation with host governments, civil society and faith-based organizations, local communities, donors, as well as the refugees and migrants themselves with common objective of addressing the overarching humanitarian, protection and socioeconomic integration needs of refugees and migrants from Venezuela.

El grupo de VBG de la Plataforma de Coordinación Interagencial para personas Refugiadas y Migrantes de Venezuela realizó 25 encuestas en diciembre de 2018 sobre la disponibilidad de los servicios para sobrevivientes de VBG y las barreras de acceso a estos en las zonas fronterizas de Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador y Perú. Este documento resume los hallazgos de la encuesta, destaca algunas de las prácticas prometedoras identificadas y presenta las recomendaciones del grupo de trabajo de VBG, de la Plataforma Regional de Coordinación para personas refugiadas y migrantes de Venezuela, para mejorar el acceso a los servicios de prevención y respuesta de la VBG.

This is a rough methodology for prioritization of targeting based on expert knowledge and group consensus against defined criteria, using magnitude (size of the concerned population = No. and % of people affected) and intensity assessment (attribution of the severity of needs /vulnerability - through a standard 0-7 severity scale) of a given population group. This guidance note provides information on why and how to use the Rapid Gender Analysis Assessment Tools. The primary audience of this guidance note is assessment team leaders and gender advisors. The Care Emergency Group Gender Team will take responsibility for preparation of rapid gender analyses for Type 4 and large Type 2 responses.
