IOM’s DTM is a system to track and monitor displacement and population mobility. It is designed to capture, process and disseminate critical multi-layered information on the mobility, vulnerabilities, and needs of displaced and mobile populations, regularly and systematically. This study was developed to identify current protection needs of Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Aruba, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago and present recommendations for strengthened protection responses. The study is presented in line with the Inter-Agency Coordination Platform for Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela (R4V) commitment to protection as a central responsibility of its humanitarian response. It has been developed as part of the efforts of the Regional Protection Sector and the Sub-Regional Platform for the Caribbean.

The 2022 Regional Refugee and Migrant Response Plan (RMRP) appeal was launched on 9 December via a virtual event, and 10 December marked the final day of the 16 Days of Activism to end violence against women. Salary reductions impacted communities in Aruba; Venezuelans in Curaçao sought repatriation; employers could face fines for hiring undocumented workers in the Dominican Republic; food insecurity and malnutrition continued to impact Guyana; Trinidad and Tobago minister reaffirmed immigration policies.

El presente documento es una actualización de los Términos de Referencia del Sector de Transporte Humanitario a nivel regional aprobada en reunión por los colíderes nacionales y subregionales el 19 de enero de 2022. Esta versión sustituye a los términos de referencia precedentes que databan de 2020.
Operational context and updates.
El presente documento “Diagnóstico sobre la situación de los derechos humanos de las personas migrantes y refugiadas venezolanas en la Argentina” fue desarrollado por el Eje Migración y Asilo de la Red Institucional Orientada a la Solución de Problemas en Derechos Humanos (RIOSP-DDHH) del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) de la República Argentina, y contó con el apoyo del Sector de Manejo de Información de la Plataforma Argentina de Coordinación Interagencial para Refugiados y Migrantes de Venezuela (R4V). Se trata de un documento elaborado a partir de los datos obtenidos por la Encuesta Nacional Migrante en Argentina (ENMA) realizada durante 2020, la primera encuesta de su tipo por objetivos y alcances que enfoca el análisis en una población en particular. Dicho diagnóstico reviste una gran importancia debido a la necesidad de contar con información de calidad para diseñar e implementar respuestas adecuadas a las necesidades de la población venezolana en la Argentina.
