Instructions for filling in the Gender with Age Marker

In addition to responding to the principles established in different international frameworks such as the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants (2016) or the Global Pact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (2018), the GAM is a standardized tool that allows for the creation of better projects and capacity building for gender mainstreaming, including age (life cycle) and disability. It is also the only quantitative source of global data on these aspects that allows the RMRP to have an overall report on its progress in this regard.

R4V Handbook (2024)

This R4V Handbook provides a comprehensive summary of the technical and practical aspects of inter-agency coordination in responding to the mixed movements situation involving migrants and refugees in Latin America and the Caribbean. It offers guidance on the roles and responsibilities of the R4V National, Sub-regional, and Regional Platform and Sector coordinators, as well as details key processes, including the development of the RMNA and RMRP. The Handbook highlights best practices that can be replicated in other inter-agency and mixed movements contexts, based on a thorough overview of the R4V model.

RMNA 2024 - Regional Summary

The Refugee and Migrant Needs Analysis (RMNA) 2024 is a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment of the needs of migrants and refugees in the 17 countries covered by the R4V Platform. It draws on a regionally harmonized framework for joint needs assessments, developed and implemented in an inter-agency manner among regional and national partners. More than 14,000 household surveys were conducted in 15 of the 17 R4V countries, corresponding to more than 41,500 refugees’ and migrants’ views. Moreover, this year, in ten countries the resulting topline figures for multisectoral needs (the percentage of People in Need; PiN) are based on the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) methodology, allowing for a more comprehensive analysis of needs and for a deeper understanding of people's needs within their households and groups in transit. These findings from the RMNA will inform the Regional Response Plan for Refugees and Migrants (RMRP) for 2025-2026, which will be presented in December 2024.
